Film Review - Chronicle

Last night (25th January) I had the enviable pleasure of being amongst the first in the world to see Chronicle, at least the guy who introduced it said we would be among the first and I have no reason to not believe him.  He looked trustworthy. In the plush surroundings of the screening room at Framestore, Wells Street, myself and “the guy who sleeps on my couch a lot” Mike got a preview of what was one of my more anticipated films of the year.

Film Review - Haywire

Last night I went along to the Vue in Islington for a preview screening of Steven Soderbergh’s latest film, Haywire. Starring former MMA fighty lady Gina Carano as Mallory Kane, a member of a special operations unit contracted by the government, who is then set-up by her former employers. She then proceeds to royally kick the shit out of them.

My Film Picks For 2012

It is award season in Hollywood-land, with the Oscars a mere 7 weeks away, so what better way to embrace it than by completely ignoring all that self-congratulatory piffle and instead looking forward to the films that we will be talking about during 2012?
So here are the five films, in no particular order, that I am especially looking forward
to this year, and no, Twilight Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is not one of them.
